Job Requirements

  • Minimum five (5) years experience successfully securing and implementing government and foundation / corporate grant funding required. 
  • Working and demonstrating proficiency with computer information systems, including accounting and fundraising software is preferred. 
  • Knowledge of HIPAA and PHI statutes required. 
  • Organizational, analytical, and persuasive writing skill required. 
  • Must demonstrate extensive interpersonal skills, be dependable and self directed, exhibits critical thinking, problem solving and deductive reasoning skills.
  • Advanced computer skills (5 or more years) including familiarity with Windows based software programs, donor and / or grant databases necessary. 
  • Extensive knowledge of grant funding trends and regulatory environment for governmental funding (such as OMB Circular A-133) required. 
  • Demonstrated experience in leading and / or participating in licensure and accreditation processes.
  • Experience evaluating organizational efficiency and effectiveness, with viable recommendations for corrections and issue resolution.
  • Position requires excellent interpersonal skills.

GRANTS MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES:

Identifies opportunities for new funding in consultation with the Executive Director, Executive Team and Program Directors, following agency grant solicitation and management protocols and policies.

  • Leads a Grant Work Team to coordinate and collaborate grant funding reports and requirements with Finance Department, Program Directors and others as needed.Writes grants for new and continuation United Way, government and foundation / corporate funding opportunities.  Ensures all grant reporting is accurate and submitted per requirements of grant awards / agreements including follow-up budgets, monitoring drawdowns and budget revisions.
  • Maintains agency centralized grant files (paper and electronic), ensures all grant records are retained for period stated in agency policy and / or directed by funder.
  • Provides written reports of grant awards and reporting to Executive Director, Board of Directors, Executive Team, and employees.  Maintains annual Grant Activity Report,  Grant History, Grants Report Due Dates Calendar (Outlook) and other tools that accurately track grant awards, reporting and closures.
  • Facilitates and / or coordinates all meetings necessary to ensure data collection, program outcome reporting and grantor notification of changes as required.  Presents updates at Senior Leadership, Board meetings, or other committees at the request of the Executive Director or Senior Director of Programs.
  • Identifies, analyzes and projects potential risk to grant funding continuously.
  • Provides training and  guidance to designated employees for grant award requirements, timelines, reporting and compliance.
  • Maintains positive relationship with all grant funding entities, designated grant officers and contacts to ensure successful implementation and administration of all grant awards and to cultivate opportunity for continuation, expanded or new funding with funders.
  • Serves as the primary contact for all grant compliance audits and site visits.
