Key Words:  Resume Writer, LinkedIn writer, Career Coach, Job & Career Transition Specialist/Coach, Sales Person with LI and resume writing experience.

If you apply for this position it means that you currently write resumes and LinkedIn profiles and are selling those services to potential clients now. 

Since you work with your own clients now, it means that you how sell them on purchasing a resume, cover letter, and LinkedIn profile, at a minimum. If so, you will be a good fit for Stewart, Cooper & Coon.

This role can include sales. If you are not interested in sales, this will not eliminate you from consideration as a resume or LinkedIn writer.

Oe of the really hard parts to being an independent writer, is that sometimes you sit and wait for clients to come to you and your business does not grow.  We can fi that. You no longer have to sit and wait for leads to come to and write 2 or 3 resumes a month.  We can provide you with steady, qualified leads, every day of the week and every week of the year. No more marketing for you - just doing what you like to do - write!

You already speak with your current leads and persuade them to purchase resume and LinkedIn services from you.  Now, you can speak to our leads and present a wide array of job and career transition services including, resumes, cover letters, Career WebFolios, LinkedIn profiles, expert coaching, target company research and lists, and resume distribution to recruiters. 

We will pay you for everything you do from selling the client to delivery of any services you provide on our behalf to the customer.

However, let's not get the cart before the horse.  The first step in your joining our team, is for you to provide information allowing us to evaluate your writing capability and creative skills.

There will be no interview scheduled with you unless you submit the following information. 


A. Please give us your LinkedIn profile URL

B. Please give us two (2) URLS for LinkedIn profiles that you have written


1.               Number of years of experience writing resumes

2.               Name(s) of resume writing companies you worked fo

3.               Reason for leaving

4.               One mid-level resume you have written for a client

5.               One executive resume

     Sales: If you are interested in receiving qualified leads and want to sell your services and ours, in your cover letter, please explain why you feel you would be good at doing this.

For those who are simply writers applying for this position, we seek LinkedIn writers who understand all of the six component sections of a LinkedIn profile and can write entry- to mid-management level LinkedIn profiles for our clients.

Header Construction – Be able to construct the 120 character header for our clients. Capture attention and easy to understand positioning.  Getting it right is critical.

Summary – From a person's resume and other documents we provide, be able to maximize the client's value proposition.

Work Experience – The profile must include all relevant employment experience. This information will come from the client's current resume and LinkedIn profile. Be able to develop value-driven statements from client’s resume and into this LI section.

Top Skills – Compare client’s key skills with their current LI profile to ensure these are incorporated into this section of client’s profile.

Group Recommendations – Research and recommend groups for client to join that will help maximize client’s visibility in the LinkedIn job marketplace.

Reasonable Changes to LinkedIn Profile – Willing to make a reasonable number of changes to the Client’s new LinkedIn profile, should client not be satisfied with the profile you have authored.  The Client will sign a release form before these documents are authorized for release or posting or you receiving your compensation for your work. This applies to the satisfaction of each client..

Uploading Client’s LinkedIn Profile – BE prepared to “walk” the Client through the entire profile change process, so they may upload their new profile successfully.
