IT Security/Active Directory Administrator
Position Description:
Responsible for the day-to-day operation and administration of Identity and Access Management systems. Works with peers to plan, develop, support, and implement strategic initiatives. Works with key business and IS department teams to identify and improve related business processes. Follows all established processes and procedures and has a deep understanding of their impact to the team and the rest of the company. Strives to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction and professionalism.
Position-Related Responsibilities
  • Processes access requests according to existing SLAs (Priority 1 within 1 day, Priority 2 within 2 days, Priority 3 within 4 days). Documents all steps taken to complete the request.
  • Maintains and creates procedure documentation as necessary
  • Responsible for following all standards and procedures.
  • Assists the Compliance Program Management Office in research and the gathering of evidence as required during various audits
  • Follows all internal controls to ensure that appropriate cyber and physical system access levels are maintained.
  • Works closely with business clients to understand requirements, achieve effective and mutually beneficial outcomes, and manage expectations with respect to service requests and project delivery commitments.
  • Assists in the research and evaluation of appropriate security solutions within the company.
  • May assist in security incident response and forensic investigations
  • Provides second-level support for the IT Help Desk. May be asked to perform 24 x7 support on a rotating basis.
  • May be asked to work after hours as necessary to support project deadlines
  • Knowledge is expected in the following:
  • Authentication and Access Control Tools, Management and Administration
  • Change & Security Configuration Audit and Control
  • Understanding of Microsoft Active Directory and LDAP access rights and user access provisioning, Exchange, Windows, Windows Server, SQL Server and Linux/Unix access controls
  • Knowledge of industry protocol standards such as: LDAP, SAML, WS-Federation, OAuth
  • Security Information & Event Management (SIEM) and Logging
  • Scripting Languages, such as PowerShell
  • Regulatory Requirements of NERC CIP, SOX, HIPAA, PCI DSS and other applicable regulations

  • Minimum Qualifications
    High school diploma or GED.
    Effective written and oral communication skills are required plus a willingness to learn in a rapidly changing environment.
    Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
    Preferred Qualifications

    Two or more years in an IT related discipline is preferred.
    Industry certifications (i.e. Security , MCSA) or equivalent experience of 3-5 years in an information security or network discipline.
