Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP, one of the world’s leading global law firms with almost 4,000 lawyers and staff in 30 offices is seeking a Senior Manager of Associate Talent reporting to the Senior Director of Associate Talent. This position can reside any of the following offices: Los Angeles, San Francisco, Philadelphia, Boston, Washington D.C., New York or Chicago and will be responsible for managing the overall coordination, administration and implementation of the various Associate Talent programs and functions.

Responsibilities:

• Works with Senior Director, Associate Talent and with Human Resources to facilitate the Attorney Year-End Evaluation and Compensation Process including timing, communications, training, etc.
• Works with Human Resources to develop continuous feedback system for associates.
• Manages Associate Talent Team Strategic Plan; regularly evaluate progress; host yearly review.
• Collaborates with Business Development and Graphics regarding Associate Talent branding and internal/external website content for the Associate Talent Team.
• Serves as the primary administrative support for the Firmwide Global Committee on Associates.
• Works closely with Human Resources and Associate Talent to make recommendations to the Firm with respect to the logistics of onboarding, orientation and outplacement of associate talent.
• Provides support to Associate Talent Team for one-off firmwide initiatives.
• Maintains relationships and communicates with consultants and outside vendors as necessary.
• Hosts bi-weekly calls with Associate Talent Team.
• Manages Associate Talent Team calendar.
• Assists in recruitment of Associate Talent Team members including drafting job descriptions, interviewing, onboarding, etc.
• Creates team building opportunities for Associate Talent Team.
• Liaises with Human Resources, Compensation Team and HR Business Partners and other Associate Talent stakeholders.
• Develops training as needed for delivery to associate population.
• Hosts associate focus groups as needed and engage associates for feedback on Associate Talent programs and initiatives.
• Establishes/adheres to Department budget; seeks opportunities to improve Department efficiency and reduce expenses by streamlining operations.
• Develops and maintains expertise for the Firm, including an understanding of innovative talent management programming and curriculum.
• Leads by example; establishes clear expectations; sets direction and priorities; ensures that work levels are balanced among all staff; resolves internal staff issues in a timely manner; keeps staff informed of all appropriate information; builds effective team; delegates at appropriate level.
• Other duties as assigned.

Experience/Qualifications:

• A Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university, and
• Minimum 10 years of experience or, equivalent combination of education and experience.
• The successful applicant will also have excellent organizational skills; effective written and oral communication skills; the ability to take initiative and contribute new ideas; the ability to interact effectively with all levels of Firm management and staff; the capability to exercise sound judgment and work well under pressure; the flexibility to adapt to changing priorities; and the ability to deal with confidential information.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Microsoft Project, as well as the ability to adapt to new software programs.
