Collections Specialist will be performing collection follow-up insurance outstanding balances; identification of claim problems and resolution; standards within compliance of government and managed care contract terms.
Top Three Skills:Hospital Collections
Work Environment: Large service center, including collections dept's, Customer Service, and local executives.
8-5pm daily. Schedule may be flexible depending on team need. No OT available.
Qualifications: 1-2 years experience in hospital collections
Experience with Medicaid, Medicare
Customer Service OR billing (OBO4)
Performance Expectations: Performing collection actions with Commercial Insurance companies, Medicare, and Medicaid. Aggressively pursuing insurance companies for claims >30 days past due
*Work to successfully reduce days in aged A/R and meet assigned goals
*Follow up with Insurance Carriers on denied claims
*Request re-bill to the Insurance carriers if necessary
