Position: Business Unit: Location: Senior Program Manager WW Sales and Field Operations San Jose, CA
Position Summary Supporting Global Services, the Senior Program Manager will work with management to plan and drive the successful execution of strategic programs to address critical business issues or opportunities. The Senior Program Manager will help the Adobe Global Services organization understand and manage the impact of those programs, solve complex problems and be an agent of change within the organization. The biggest impact will come from someone who has strong business experience in a global business environment and masters the fundamentals of project management. The ideal candidate has the ability to fearlessly jump into any situation to quickly understand and assess business needs, identify potential gaps in programs or processes, and turn problem statements into prioritized and well-executed programs that will drive both revenue and improvements to the customer experience. Your prior experience operating in global, cross-functional and collaborative environments (ideally within a services organization) will provide you with the foundation necessary to be successful in this dynamic, high-impact position.
What you'll do
*Work with business owners at the management/executive level to rapidly assessand understand business needs, define options, and translate requirements intoprogram objectives and scope*Develop and manage a detailed project or program plan that takes into account allrequirements, constraints, resources, and deliverables associated with the definedobjectives
*Drive the successful execution of initiatives to ensure milestones and objectives aremet while ensuring quality by managing the scope, cost and schedule.
*Provide structure and necessary processes without compromising execution or theneeds of the customer, product or team.
*Work internally within a matrixed, global services organization, as well asoutside your organization with various cross-functional teams at Adobe toexecute and implement the plan.
*Aggregate, organize, and communicate program and project informationwith internal customers, stakeholders and extended teams.
*Act as a liaison across geographies and with technical and non-technicalaudiences to communicate and ensure alignment to objectives. Surface keyissues and changes which may impact expected business results.
*Leverage change management best practices to ensure the successful adoption ofstrategic initiatives.
*Effectively manage risk, partnering with colleagues to ensure the right decisions aremade at the right time, appropriate communication occurs, and plans areintelligently adjusted to reflect necessary fluctuations in goals and requirements.
What you'll need to succeed
*10-15 years of proven project and program management experience. PMP® or PgMP®certification is a plus.
*Proven experience in business change management.
*You are a self-starter that thrives in the face of challenge. You are relentless in clearingobstacles with a resourceful and creative approach to problem-solving.
*Proven ability to operate effectively and autonomously in situations of extremeambiguity, with only high level direction.
*Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to work withtechnical and non-technical audiences as well as communicate as effectively toindividual contributors as you do with executives.
*Demonstrated experience presenting and advocating programs to customers and/orinternal key stakeholders.
*Maniacal attention to details, balanced with the ability to absorb large amounts ofinformation and distill it down to the essentials.
*You are a leader who is always focused on doing what's right for the business, andyou know how to lead people and teams through change.
*You have strong people skills, with distinctive ability to motivate and influencepeople without authority or a direct reporting relationship.
*Excellent negotiation, conflict management and resolution skills. You diplomaticallyfacilitate teams to the successful resolution of issues.
*Ability to work collaboratively, and act in a lead role as a subject matter expert,
within a team environment to meet aggressive goals and pre-defined measurement criteria.
*You are high energy, maintain a positive attitude, have contagious enthusiasm and asense of humor that helps you to adapt to the changing needs of the business.
*Strong aptitude for learning new technologies and leveraging tools of the trade,such as productivity tools and project management applications.
*Bachelors or equivalent a must; MBA or equivalent strongly preferred.
*Knowledge of Adobe products and their use across customer segments is desired.
