Senior Financial Analyst

General Dynamics Information Technology Baltimore Full-Time

GDIT is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to provide financial support to one of our growing, dynamic programs and business units located near Baltimore, Maryland. 

Task and responsibilities in this role include, but are not limited to the following:

Oversee various financial functions such as budgeting, auditing, forecasting and analysis
Provide financial support to the business, including but not limited to cost accounting, revenue recognition, subcontractor financial management, At Risk coordination, forecasting and EAC development, variance analysis, invoice preparation/review and cash flow management (to include timely unbilled analysis/reconciliations)
Provide support and manage subcontractor reporting, invoicing, and payment cycle
Support a large and complex project with multiple contract types
Review and understand contract terms, and contribute effectively to the job setup and closeout processes
Provide data and financial analysis in support of external customer requirements, Group/Corporate data calls and audit requests
Deliver reliable and precise execution of day-to-day Business Operations responsibilities including cost accounting, revenue recognition, subcontractor financial management, At Risk coordination, forecasting and EAC development, variance analysis, and cash flow management (to include timely unbilled analysis/reconciliations)
Escalate and resolve key financial issues, and produce accurate and intuitive reports as necessary
Review subcontractor timesheets and resolve payment and reconciliation
Provide support to the Lead Financial analyst to meet contractual financial reporting reporting and analysis
Provide valuable input to monthly and quarterly internal reports and analyses
Focus on meaningful and material data points in Project Review meetings and other data presentations that shed light on execution quality and improvement opportunities
Act proactively and shows initiative with regard to risk assessment, escalation and mitigation

Qualifications:

BA and 5 years related experience or MA and 1 year experience
Superb Excel skills
Experience with Costpoint and Cognos
Experience working in a government - contracting environment
EVM experience
Willingness to work in a high-pressure and complex environment
