Job Description

The Process Improvement Implementation Team Journeyman Electrician's responsiblities and minimum qualifications:


  • Installation, modification and repair of new and existing electrical power, control and communication systems.

  • Work with Engineering and Facilities Staff on of Facilities projects

  • Contact suppliers and obtain job quotes

  • Periodically oversee craft workers assigned to assist with projects

  • Responsible for wiring and conduit projects throughout the main facility and offsite buildings

  • Ensure that all electrical work performed is in accordance with OSHA, NEC and local code

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Any combination of education or experience from an accredited apprenticeship program with major course work in a technical discipline, or accredited Journeyman Program or related field; five to eight years related experience and/or training in an industrial manufacturing operation

  • Self-motivation, good interpersonal, organizational and communication skills with a common-sense approach to problems that may arise

  • Computer literate and proficient with Microsoft Office software

  • Willing to work off shifts and weekends to ensure project completion dates

  • Experience sizing wire, conduit and distribution panel capacities

  • Proficient in running conduit and pulling wire

  • Experience operating scissor and boom lifts

  • The ability to think out of the box and move the organization forward with minimal supervision is necessary for this position

  • Prior lockout/tagout and arc flash experience desired

  • Have a solid working knowledge of OSHA and NEC standards

  • Willing to respond to after-hour emergencies

  • Have a solid background in industrial / commercial electrical power transmission

  • Ability to plan activities associated with building and implementing of equipment/building upgrades

  • Good attendance
