Job Description

IT HELP DESK TECHNICIAN

Job Description:

Provide Tier I support for the user community, including phone support for remote users.

Troubleshoot and resolve application issues, desktop support, desktop imaging and setup, printer errors.

Handle inbound telephone support traffic.

Document incoming requests in ticketing system and process Level 1 support requests.

Set up and configure desktop PC’s for corporate and remote users.

Required Skills:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Customer service oriented.

General PC hardware and software knowledge required, including Windows Operating Systems, network printing, HP Workstation, and Microsoft Office Suite. Familiarity with Citrix XenApp, Dynamics CRM, Dynamics GP is a plus. 

Basic understanding of networking, including small-office switches and routers preferred.

Advanced understanding of networking and telephony a plus.

A+ Certification preferred.

Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting and decision making skills and ability to demonstrated independent judgment.

Strong initiative in development and completion of projects; ability to multitask and work in fast paced environment; willing to accept additional responsibilities.

Dependable and adheres to time lines and schedules.

Available for one week per month of on-call support, including weekend.

Education and Experience:

High School diploma required, associate degree or some college preferred.

One to three years IT helpdesk support required.
