This company has a great reputation and has grown over the last few years through strategic acquisitions that have allowed them to expand their footprint and product offering to commercial and industrial customers in the Mid-Atlantic region. We are looking for a degreed Director of Operations with 8 or more years of experience leading and managing teams in a distribution/warehousing environment. With two larger DC’s as hubs supplying multiple branch operations this group needs an operational leader who can work effectively with their current teams to utilize technology and process improvements to control costs while improving the customer experience. - Minimum of Bachelor’s degree (BS Supply Chain Management, Distribution, Business Management, Engineering, or related field of study)
- 8 or more years of experience leading and managing teams in a distribution/warehousing environment
- Formal continuous improvement training, preferably six sigma greenbelt or lean certification
- Working knowledge of Warehouse management systems
- Strong communication skills (both written and verbal)
