Technical Support Manager for Leading Technology Services Organization

If you are a career-oriented individual who has the energy, drive and commitment to contribute to our client’s exciting team, we have a position for you! We are looking for an experienced IT Support Manager individual to lead an IT department. This IT Support Manager will be responsible for leading a team of professionals whose responsibilities include network administration, systems implementation, IT security management and level I, II & III system support, but the main focus initially is network managed services. In addition to providing supervision and direction of the IT staff, this position will be responsible for IT security and compliance, management of technology vendor relationships, Active Directory, firewalls, disaster recovery and business continuity planning, as well as project management and documentation for department initiatives.

The ideal candidate will have an IT background managing a department encompassing all aspects of technology. The candidate will also possess exceptional organizational and project oversight skills.

Type: Full Time / Direct Hire

Our client has 3 divisions: Consulting, Managed Services, and Commercial Application Development.
• The consulting division handles large IT project strategical planning and implementation. They have designed a proprietary implementation methodology that gives their clients an elite experience and all of their practices are way above industry standards. Over the years, this consulting division has led hundreds of ERP implementation projects.

• The Managed Services division was created over 20 years ago and has created a unique approach to true continuous improvement within client sites.

• The Commercial Application Development division works on full implementation of agile based development methodology within which we have implemented true test driven development.

Skills & Requirements:

  • Middle manager duties – some supervision and some hands on duties
  • Manage department supervisors, as well as mentor & manage other people in department
  • Keep track & watch the matrixes
  • Build more long term equity in the company - training programs; managing technical people
  • Must have a strong infrastructure background
  • Be technically strong up to a minimum Level II or preferably Level III
  • Mostly a Microsoft environment – servers, etc.
  • Must have good understanding of network topology, active directory, fire walls, etc.
  • Client prefers a System Engineer background
  • Excellent communication skills – both verbal & written
