Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
Contract Role: Contingent Clinical Care LVN/LPN - MC in Apopka, FL
Duration: 6 months contract. Potential Conversion to FTE
Pay range: 25.00-29.00/Hr on w2 all inclusive
Job Description:
**This is a full time contingent position, starting at 30 hours per week up to a possible 40 hours, and may require floating to other nearby locations and working alternating weekends**

Duties:
You will:
- Provide holistic, evidenced-based care inclusive of accurate assessment, diagnosis, treatment, management of health problems, health counseling, and disposition planning for our patients. This includes education and treatment for pregnancy prevention, sexually transmitted infection (STI) Prevention and safer sex practices.
- Perform phlebotomy and specimen collection services
- Administer immunizations and injections (to include but not limited to COVID19, influenza, TB) and provides evidence-based patient/parent vaccine counseling and education.
- Assess patients during intake
- Take vital signs
- Perform diagnostic tests such as EKG, Retinopathy screening
- Perform Point of care testing (including COVID testing)
- Perform patient registration and intake, assist with wait room management and other responsibilities to enhance the patient experience.
- Order equipment and prepare the clinic for the best patient experience
- Help meet our mission to help people on their path to better health by providing excellent patient-focused connections and activities
Experience:
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of one-year related work experience in a healthcare setting
- Experience documenting within an Electronic Medical Record
- Ability to take vital signs, perform phlebotomy blood draws and perform Point of Care Testing
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, including but not limited to performing CPR and operating an Automated External Defibrillator (AED).
- Pass a FIT test and wear the provided respirator mask when protocol is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Phlebotomy Certificate or phlebotomy experience preferred. If not experienced, must successfully complete internal phlebotomy training.
- Previous experience in Primary Care, Urgent Care or Emergency Room
Education:

- The LPN/LVN must have a full, active and unrestricted license as a Licensed Practical or Vocational Nurse in a State, Territory or Commonwealth of the United States or District of Columbia.
