Speech Language and Hearing Specialist (SLH) Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostic evaluations and testing for individuals with auditory, speech, and language disorders.
- Develop and implement individualized or group treatment programs tailored to patients' needs.
- Utilize advanced principles and methodologies to address speech, language, and hearing challenges.
- Serve as an independent clinician, providing expert care and recommendations.
- Collaborate with supervisors and other professionals, ensuring comprehensive care delivery.
- Document all services and maintain accurate records in compliance with established guidelines.
Speech Language and Hearing Specialist (SLH) Requirements:
- Education: Master’s degree (or completion of all requirements for a Master’s degree excluding thesis) in communicology or a related field, with at least 24 credit hours in speech pathology and/or audiology.
- Certifications: Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association (ASHA) or state licensure as required for public or approved private school employment.
- Skills: Basic computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Attendance: Commitment to mandatory attendance during the first 90 days.

- Location: Danville, PA 17821 – 100% on-site
- Payrate: $35/hr
- Required Availability: Part-Time, Flexible, 10 hours per week
- 1 10-hour shift or 1 5-hour shifts, Monday - Friday, with preferred dayshift hours
Speech Language and Hearing Specialist (SLH) Summary and Highlights:
Speech Language and Hearing Specialist will provide professional testing, diagnostic services, and therapy programs for individuals with auditory, speech, language, and related disabilities. This position operates within a state-operated facility and requires expertise in applying clinical and technical methodologies to deliver high-quality care.
- This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs
- Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment and include health, optical, dental, life, and short-term disability insurance
- A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates
