Job Description


RESPONSIBILITIES


• This individual will lead, mentor, and develop a team of engineers and designers focused on creating high-quality generator enclosures, fuel tanks, and related equipment.

• Will oversee all stages of the electrical design process, ensuring quality, efficiency, and adherence to safety standards.

• Set clear team objectives, manage performance, and foster a collaborative, innovative, and safety-conscious work environment.

• Coordinate team efforts to meet project deadlines, quality standards, and budget constraints.

• Oversee the entire design process, from concept development through final design, ensuring alignment with project goals, regulatory requirements, and customer specifications.

• Develop and implement project schedules, resource plans, and budget allocations, adjusting as necessary to meet evolving project needs.

• Provide technical guidance and support on the design of electrical systems, including power distribution, controls, and integration with mechanical and structural components.

• Ensure designs meet all applicable electrical and safety codes, industry standards, and client specifications.

• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, procurement, and quality assurance, to address technical challenges and improve design processes.

• Identify opportunities to enhance design processes, reduce costs, and improve product performance and reliability.

• Promote and implement lean methodologies and continuous improvement initiatives within the engineering team.

• Serve as the primary point of contact for technical inquiries related to design and engineering.

• Work closely with sales and project management teams to understand customer requirements, address concerns, and deliver solutions that meet or exceed expectations.

• Present design concepts, project updates, and technical recommendations to internal stakeholders and customers.


Qualifications


REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.

• 7+ years of experience in electrical design for commercial construction or a related

• 3+ years in a leadership or management role, overseeing engineering teams or large projects.

• In-depth knowledge of electrical systems design, power distribution, and control systems, specifically within the context of generator enclosures and fuel tanks.

• Proficiency with design software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar), as well as project management tools.

• Familiarity with industry standards and codes, including NEC, NFPA, and UL standards.

• This role requires a hands-on leader with exceptional technical expertise in electrical systems and a collaborative approach to managing teams and projects.
