HVAC Maintenance Technician

Accentuate Staffing Raleigh, NC (Onsite) Full-Time
$27.00 - $29.00/Hour

Accentuate Staffing is assisting a private educational facility in Raleigh who is hiring a HVAC Maintenance Technician to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity working 7am-4pm Monday-Friday with an on call weekend rotation.

Responsibilities:

  • HVAC Maintenance Technician will maintain HVAC systems on campus buildings, equipment, and vehicles
  • Technician will maintain air handling units, heat pumps and air conditioning units
  • Technician will troubleshoot and repair chilled water systems, boilers, water heaters
  • Technician will maintain and repair kitchen and laundry appliances, refrigeration systems
  • Technician will manage preventative maintenance program on all HVAC, plumbing equipment, lighting, doors, and gate hardware
  • Technician will assist with standard plumbing repairs to include sinks, faucets, showerheads, toilets
  • Technician will perform regular maintenance on school vehicles, golf carts, etc.
  • Technician will maintain swimming pool in accordance with standards

Requirements:

  • Candidates must have hands on HVAC knowledge to include 4+ years HVAC equipment maintenance experience and/or a HVAC license
  • Candidates must have knowledge of mechanical systems and commercial building systems
  • Candidates must be proficient reading and interpreting drawings, schematics, blueprints
  • Candidates must be willing to obtain a Certified Pool Operators license within 6 months of hire
  • Candidates must be willing to be on call every 3-4 weekends

  • Perform repair and maintenance tasks
  • Recognize equipment that need repair
  • Obtain repair and maintenance instructions
  • Perform minor or routine maintenance or repair
  • Replace or repair worn parts
  • Locate and repair defective parts
  • Maintain and order repair parts
  • Diagnose and repair all refrigeration equipment
  • Provide electrical service and/or repair to customer units
  • Perform building repair and maintenance activities
  • Dismantle equipment/machines and make proper repair
  • Discuss repair, maintenance and applications of equipment
  • Maintain appropriate maintenance and repair logs
  • Handle routine repair and maintenance of plumbing and electrical systems
  • Troubleshoot and repair all capital equipment
  • Disassemble fire protection equipment to repair and maintain systems, and replace or repair defective parts
