Job Requirements of LTC Pharmacy Technician:
LTC Pharmacy Technician Responsibilities
• Fill prescription items, package medications for dispensing, and prepare for delivery
• Label products appropriately, including cautionary or auxiliary labels
• Participate in periodic pharmacy inventory, check in drugs and supplies, and remove expired items
• Prepare medications, including emulsions, liquids, powders, and ointments; may include non-sterile compounding
• Communicate professionally with internal and external customers
• Process returned medications for credit or destruction
• Assist in training new employees
• Perform one or more specialized tasks such as:
- Working in the Controlled Drugs (Narcotics) Room
- Operating automated machines to prepack medications
- Managing inventory, including pharmaceutical levels and expired medications
- Inputting patient data and medication orders into a computer system (data entry)
- Mixing and packaging IV medications; sanitizing the IV room, equipment, and hood
- Servicing facility-based medication dispensing machines (e.g., RxNow)
LTC Pharmacy Technician Requirements
• High School diploma or equivalent required
• Pharmacy Technician license in the state of Massachusetts required
• Experience in a pharmacy setting and familiarity with medical terminology preferred
• Ability to recognize medications, operate a computer, and maintain a goal-oriented, team-player mindset required
• Long-term care pharmacy experience desired but not required

A-Line Staffing is now hiring an LTC Pharmacy Technician in Lowell, MA (01851).
This LTC Pharmacy Technician position involves assisting with prescription preparation, inventory management, and ensuring accuracy in a fast-paced environment.

LTC Pharmacy Technician Compensation
• The pay for this position is $18.00 per hour
• Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment
• A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates
LTC Pharmacy Technician Highlights
• Shift Details: Monday–Friday 11:30 AM–8:00 PM and every third weekend
• Training Schedule: Two weeks of training from 9:30 AM–6:00 PM
• Weekend Hours: Saturday and Sunday shifts are typically 9:00 AM–5:00 PM or 10:00 AM–6:00 PM
• Must have an active Pharmacy Technician license in the state of Massachusetts
