Job Description

***Only qualified Service Engineer candidates located near the Manhattan, NY area to be considered due to the position requiring a 100% onsite presence***


Our client is the world's largest intimates' specialty retailer offering a wide assortment of modern, fashion-inspired collections including signature bras, panties, lingerie, casual sleepwear, swim and athleisure, as well as award-winning prestige fragrances and body care.

In this role, our client is seeking to fill a Senior Technical Designer position responsible for executing the technical design process from development to final fit.


Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Fashion or equivalent experience


Required Experience:

• 7+ years' experience in technical design with intimates/apparel

• Experience with participating or owned their own fittings

• Must be able to write up fit comments & pattern corrections

• Must have centric training

• Must be proficient with Excel, Adobe Illustrator, and Flex PLM

Additional Required Qualifications:

• Must be local to the Manhattan, NY area and able to work onsite


Senior Technical Designer Responsibilities:

• Responsible for analyzing and evaluating garments to develop the correct fit specifications

• Ensures that products are developed in a manner consistent with established fit quality, standards, manufacturer capabilities and cost specifications

• Develops technical specifications and communicates fit to vendors/factories for approvals and corrections

• Makes appropriate adjustments with factories as required to ensure integrity of design approved prototypes while monitoring quality and targeted price

• Typically reports to Technical Services Manager. Typically directs Assistant or Associate Technical Designers
