Associate Director, Business Development - Data Services

WTW inc. Nashville, TN (Onsite) Full-Time

The WTW Data Services Business Development Team is responsible for revenue & participation growth achieved by signing on new multi-national clients through our Global Data Agreement (GDA) program. The Associate Director, Business Development role will drive growth by promoting compensation data focused products within an assigned territory. This role will use their expertise to create and generate leads from an existing prospect database and develop a robust prospect pipeline to ensure sales targets are met.

The Role

  • Actively identify potential GDA leads to grow and maintain a robust and accurate sales pipeline to attract new clients that operate across both domestic and international regions

  • Consistently demonstrate the value of compensation market data in a consultative selling environment, providing recommendations of Data Services products to internal partners or prospects/clients.

  • Provide demonstrations of compensation software data report delivery module to prospects and clients.

  • Develop and maintain excellent partnerships with the Client Management Group and advisory colleages, particularly in the Talent & Rewards line of business. Expand awareness of Data Services capabilities in assigned territory to stimulate additional sales and integrated selling opportunities.

  • Understand target market (including unique industry needs) to determine which strategies & intellectual capital can be used to attract new clients.

  • Lead meetings with prospects and clients, virtually and in-person when needed.

  • Will also act as an Account Manager for some current GDA clients. Within assigned accounts, responsible for client satisfaction, retention of recurring revenue, and upselling opportunities for data & software.

  • Support various marketing campaigns as needed.

The Requirements

  • 7-10 years of experience in B2B sales

  • Preference to be physically located in the Chicago area, and able to travel within assigned territory up to 20%

  • Total rewards and/or compensation knowledge preferred

  • Proven track record of selling products or services to Fortune 1,000 organizations

  • Experience with new business sales process and high success in converting prospects to clients preferred

  • Can successfully work independently and within a team environment

  • Skilled at building effective relationships at all levels with clients, prospects, and internal experts

  • Ability to represent Data Services and Willis Towers Watson with integrity and credibility

  • Strong oral & written communication, negotiation and influencing skills preferred

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint

  • Ability to successfully ensure quality deliverables on time

  • Undergraduate degree required
