Medical Secretary - Pediatric & Adult Clinic

The Medical Secretary is responsible for supporting the attending physician by handing inquiries/correspondence (written and phone-based), working with other teams to ensure films are accounted for and delivered to correct locations, reviewing dictation, and obtaining prior-authorizations when needed. This team member also assists with data entry, scheduling, and other clerical duties as needed.
This position supports a physician who treats pediatric and adult neurology patients.
Requirements:
- Ability to learn tasks, procedures, and computer software
- Ability to operate under the requirements of HIPAA, maintain confidentiality, and handle sensitive information
- Effectiveness at managing time through out the day and flexing to changing priorities
- Strong attention to detail and communication skills
***Will require travel between Amherst and Orchard Park locations (in alignment with the physician's schedule).
