QA Automation Manager

The Role and the Team
As a highly experienced QA Automation Manager on the PSAT team, you will be responsible for managing the development of the testing framework infrastructure and improving the product testing coverage. As the development team adds new APIs and new capabilities that require flexible thinking and a high level of technicality, you will work closely with all the backend/front-end engineering managers to constantly improve the quality of our products.
Your day-to-day
-
Support the development, execution, and maintenance of test automation strategy, and extend automation coverage for existing and new features

Take full accountability for technical projects from specification and planning through execution & coding with multiple automation engineers

Proven technical leadership in component, API and Services, UI, and end-to-end test automation
-
Design, develop and deploy the automation system for a large scale highly distributed, event-driven microservices architecture in a cloud-based environment (AWS)

Lead the implementation and improvement of best practices and tooling to meet the quality needs of the product

Advocate for the testability of the product during design and development

Stay hands-on. Use and teach the best engineering methodologies, high-quality development, coding, and designing skills.

Manage and coach a team of high-performing engineers

Constantly learn and improve our process, tools, and services
What you bring to the team
-
3- 5 years of management experience, preferably with QA automation
-
Understanding and experience with OOP
-
Understanding of QA principles and methodology
-
Experience with CI/CD tools
-
Experience with Java/Selenium/Python
-
Experience with containerization tools like Docker – an advantage
-
Leadership qualities that lead and attract the best talent in the industry

Passion for people, quality, technology, and architecture

Curiosity to learn more and go deep where necessary

At least 5 years of work experience as an automation engineer

Excellent team player

Experienced with large systems that are based on microservices and event-driven architecture
