ChampionX Sugar Land, TX (Onsite) Full-Time

ChampionX has an immediate need for a Procurement Manager - Fleet Sugar Land, TX. This role will support ChampionX's Indirect Logistics and Fleet team in various projects including coordination with the Light Fleet Program. The Procurement Manager will work directly with Heavy and Light Fleet vendors connecting them with our internal drivers & stakeholders. Coordinating and supporting the maintenance and fuel programs in the company. This position may also support other projects including productivity initiatives, harmonization projects, etc. This role will entail interact with key suppliers to ensure continual performance.

The Procurement Manager - Fleet will drive the strategy and process development for procurement of equipment and indirect services through the development of strategic business relationships domestically. In collaboration with manufacturing; logistics, research & development and business units, this take charge leader will lead the step change improvement of world class sourcing in order to deliver incremental total delivered cost efficiency, security of supply, supplier innovation and process improvements. This role will effectively institutionalize process developments through integrating best practices across multiple functions and strategic sourcing teams. May drive process and compliance initiatives across all spend categories. Leverages technical and management skills to achieve through others and manages projects/portfolio to meet business needs.

What You Will Do:
  • Be the primary point of contact for Heavy Fleet related transactions and engagements.
  • Work with cross-function stakeholders to support the category strategy.
  • Manage Heavy Fleet Orders and follow ups with stakeholders and managers in regard to specs, timelines, start dates, delivery dates, changes
  • Liaison with Lease Providers to analyze ongoing projects and support the strategic execution of capital investments.
  • Report results and progress to Senior Leadership such as (but not limited to) Senior Directors and VPs across various functions.
  • Utilize reporting tools from Fleet Management partners to establish Global Fleet strategies as well as budgeting, schedules, maintenance, and fleet progress
  • Support and drive Global Sustainability projects.
  • Identifies, develop, and implements savings projects. Engages supplier and internal stakeholders to achieve project milestones and action plans.
  • Establish and execute strong project management by working with internal departments and external customers to roll-out new programs and manage other projects as requested.
  • Support and (if needed) Execute Regional & Global RFP/RFI for Fleet Category
  • Develop and Manage matrix for job responsibility and asset needed to perform function.
  • Coach and support Procurement Representatives and Analysts to drive a continuous improvement culture within the Procurement Function
  • Serve as a support role for the Light Fleet Category Representative.
  • Learns and applies ChampionX sourcing methodology process tools and skills to execute sourcing initiatives.
  • Minimum Qualifications:
  • Degree in Supply Chain, Business or industry related degree
  • Broad experience in procurement and operations
  • Seven or more years of work experience.
  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • Logistics and/or Fleet procurement experience
  • Previously lease asset coordination experience preferred.
  • Field Operations experience with Heavy Fleet equipment a plus
  • Demonstrated history of ethical values
  • Demonstrated skill in data analytics.
  • Demonstrated skills in good oral and written communication.
  • Multiple task handling skills and ability to manage multiple stakeholders.
  • Good problem-solving skills and able to get resources from internal team.
  • Demonstrated professionalism and strong presence in interactions with others.
  • Demonstrated competitive drive and strong orientation for results and achievement.
