HR Generalist

JOB SUMMARY
The HR Generalist will be responsible for providing administrative support across a variety of HR programs globally, all of which will help shape the business going forward. This pivotal role is ideal for someone early in their career who is looking to support a global HR team and gain experience across a variety of HR disciplines. This role will require someone who can exercise good judgment and discretion to provide problem solving advice and counsel to management and escalate issues as required. The Generalist will lead a variety of HR projects, ensure that all administrative processes and procedures are carried out and may serve as a team member on cross functional projects. The Generalist will also assist with developing policies and procedures and implementing best practices.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead the way in both ensuring complete accuracy and driving consistency within the employee lifecycle processes while establishing process improvements to optimize the experience.
- Provide continuous support to all members of the global HR and Learning & Development functions
- Provide support for time & attendance, payroll, and benefits including but not limited to benefit maintenance, new hire enrollment, and life change events
- Provide compensation support including salary planning, approval of salary actions, promotions, and job restructuring.
- Provide recruiting support in the coordination and scheduling, job description reviews, screening, interviewing, extending offers, onboarding, and orientation
- Regularly checks shared HR email account and responds to employee questions.
- Manage benefit invoice reconciliations utilizing vendor invoices and ADP data.
- Work with line managers and employees to address all types of employee relations issues, fairly representing all interests.
- Provide management coaching to front line managers and senior leaders.
- Partner with the business to lead performance review processes to focus on both performance management as well as talent development.
- Ensuring the completion of I-9 and E-Verify process and managing documentation that will expire.
- Coordinates offboarding processes including, but not limited to, exit interviews and documentation, and managing the unemployment cycle including responding to filings and hearings.
- Ensure consistency of application and interpretation of our HR policies and procedures and alignment of HR related programs by partnering with peers and colleagues.
- Supporting the end-to-end processing of key employee lifecycle events including, but not limited to, new hires, FML/STD/Leave of Absences, ADA accommodation requests, and separations.
- Performs other HR related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 1-3 years of progressive work experience in HR
- Previous experience working with HRIS and Payroll System (preferably ADP Workforce Now or UKG) and an ATS
- Proven ability to prioritize, meet deadlines and make best use of limited resources.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite – Outlook, Excel (intermediate to advanced level), and Word required, OneNote and PowerPoint a plus.
- Ability to handle the ‘hands-on’ day-to-day management of tasks, identification and resolution of issues, and experience in implementing action plans independently with a solid sense of accountability and sound personal judgment
- Commitment to confidentiality and the highest level of integrity.
- Must be able to interact and communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization
PREFERENCES
- Bachelor’s Degree in HR Management or HR Certification a plus
- Experience within a global organization
- Possesses intellectual curiosity and challenges convention to create innovative solutions for the global business
- Proven project management skills
- Able to manage workflow, with minimal oversight, in a fast-paced, frugal environment with multiple and sometimes changing priorities.
