Position Details:
Title: Thermal System Engineer
Location: Austin, TX
Compensation: 90-110K depending on experience

Position Description:
• Support design and release of efforts for automotive hybrid solutions with a focus on cabin thermal systems for Class 8 truck applications
• Work with internal team and suppliers to manage requirements, specifications, timing, costs, and validation plans to ensure that product objectives are met
• Create, modify, and release mechanical designs for manufacturability, assembly, serviceability, and cost. Generate solid models and engineering drawings with appropriate GD&T in accordance with ASME Y14.5-2018 as needed.

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Experience in designing powertrain and/or battery cooling systems; strong fundamental knowledge of heat transfer, fluid mechanics, and thermodynamics.
• Experienced in design, modeling, specification, and component selection for thermal systems; experience with automotive HVAC and refrigeration systems strongly preferred
• Thorough understanding of automotive powertrain and drivetrain components and systems; Class 8, heavy duty truck, and electric vehicle experience preferred
