Position Description
The Medical Technologist is responsible for specimen processing, accessioning, test performance and reporting test results, thus contributing to the efficient, economic, and quality operation of the lab. As a Medical Technologist you will:
Perform moderate and high complexity tests in the following specialties: Hematology, Toxicology, Endocrinology, Routine Chemistry, General Immunology and Syphilis Serology, as well as specimen processing, accessioning, and reporting results for diagnostic purposes
Identify, document, resolve and/or escalate any issues that may adversely affect test performance or results
Document all quality control activities, instrument and procedural calibrations and maintenance performed
Qualifications
2 or 4 year Degree in Medical Technology, clinical laboratory, chemical, physical, or biological science
