Hypori has an immediate need for a Sr. Android App Engineer experienced with building Enterprise Android Applications in a distributed server environment. As a valued member of the technical staff, you will collaborate in our full agile software development process, including troubleshooting, design, coding, and testing bug fixes and new functionality.
What You'll Do
Participate in the complete software development process, including troubleshooting, designing, and coding.
Maintain and communicate status in Jira and in daily standups.
Reconcile product requirements with an understanding of Android internals.
Implement production-quality features for the Hypori Client app.
Enhance the Hypori Client app to take advantage of new capabilities in the Android ecosystem.
Testing: unit testing, integration testing and automation testing.
Other duties as assigned.
Who You'll Work With
You will work on a small team to solve large problems that require serious initiative, critical thinking, eager collaboration, informed risk-taking, and clear communication.
Who You Are
Your qualifications include:
Fluency in Kotlin, Java and the Android ecosystem.
8+ years developing mobile app software on Android
3+ years Kotlin; 4+ years with Java experience
Strong working knowledge of MVVM and Unidirectional Data Flow design patterns
Strong working knowledge of Kotlin coroutines and Java threading
Familiar with Linux as a development environment.
Strong understanding of git version control.
Must be a US Citizen or Green Card Holder.
Bonus: 2+ year developing mobile app software on iOS
Personal Attributes
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Strong problem solving and root cause analysis.
High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
Able to take ambiguous requirements and develop a solid test solution.
