SAP Project Manager

What You Will Do:
The SAP Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Program Manager will have significant experience managing and leading multiple complex workstreams related to ERP projects in various phases including assessments, implementations, upgrades, and sustainment efforts. This position requires the ability to quickly integrate with a client’s senior leadership to make highly impactful recommendations and decisions across a project’s lifecycle. A large portion of time spent in this position will be dedicated to evaluating and mitigating project risk, accurately managing and reporting the status of project action items, proactively addressing and identifying project planning gaps, and ultimately driving critical project milestones to completion. Paramount to this position includes the expertise and experience required to brief complex SAP ERP subject matter to non-technical business leaders and stakeholders while maintaining overall impact and meaning.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Assist or lead the management of various SAP ERP programs and projects at a senior leadership level.
Coordinate workflow across multiple workstreams and personnel types including Guidehouse employee and client constituencies
Champion business cases related to key decisions to achieve high-value business solutions - effectively facilitating decisions and driving recommendations that are recognized as authoritative, well-informed, and have an important impact on overall ERP activities.
Demonstrates creativity, foresight, and judgment in anticipating and solving complex ERP solutions/problems and in developing methods, standards, and processes for diverse business activities.
Reviews and seeks an understanding of operational business procedures and methods specific to functional business areas by mapping current business processes, defining, and analyzing business activities, proposing best practices, and recommending solutions.
Works with key stakeholders to anticipate, identify, and mitigate project risk through the use of best practice program management tools and methodology.
Recognizes discrepancies and/or problems with analysis, process mapping, or system implementation results and leads toward corrective action.
Maintains a current and up-to-date knowledge of developments in a specific discipline and/or other related technical fields to recommend innovations to improve the quality and effectiveness of the business solution. Utilizes this knowledge to maintain cognizance across various workstreams across a given project.
Evaluate, plan for, and drive organizational change. Assist in managing the approach, tools and processes that will be used to support business transition events
What You Will Need:
Ability to obtain and maintain a federal SECRET security clearance
7+ years of specific SAP program management experience
Participated in at least 4 full lifecycle SAP implementations.
Served as the lead program manager for at least 2 full lifecycle SAP implementations
High-level process knowledge across multiple SAP disciplines
What Would Be Nice To Have:
An ACTIVE and CURRENT SECRET federal security clearance
Broad business experience in a complex government or commercial environments is preferred
Desired expertise includes knowledge in some of the following solution areas:
Sales and Distribution (SD),
Materials Management/Purchasing (MM-PUR),
Finance & Cost Accounting (FICO),
Project Systems (PS)
