Adventist HealthCare seeks to hire an Infection Control Practitioner (IP), who will embrace our mission to extend God's care through the ministry of physical, mental and spiritual healing.
As an Infection Preventionist/Control Practitioner you will:
• Work with supervision to implement the hospital wide infection prevention program, to include policy/procedure development
• Provides integral input into the design and implementation of educational presentations regarding infection prevention and isolation/precautions in relation to specific communicable diseases
• Manage critical data and ensure infection prevention databases are maintained in a timely fashion
• Epidemiological analysis and reporting of infection data
• Ensure infection prevention databases are maintained in a timely fashion
• Educate team members
• Monitor for environmental and practice compliance
• Facilitate to the Infection Prevention Committee and management of infection prevention team members as designated
• Assist with the implementation of educational presentations regarding infection prevention and isolation/precautions in relation to specific communicable diseases
• Collaborate with Occupational Health, investigates significant infection problems and other infections amongst patients and team members
• Report communicable diseases to respective units/departments as indicated
Qualifications include:
Infection Control Practitioner I:
• Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing, Microbiology, or Medical Technology, • Master's degree preferred
• 3-5 years of acute care experience preferred
• Certification in Infection prevention (CIC) within AHC timeline(s)
Infection Control Practitioner II:
• Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing, Microbiology, or Medical Technology, • Master's degree preferred
• Previous experience in infection control and knowledge of OSHA, TJC, CDC, and other applicable local, state, and federal regulations and guidelines related to infection control
• More than 5 years of direct infection control experience preferred
• Certification in Infection Control (CIC)

Full time days, Monday -Friday
