Gray Tier Technologies is looking for a Configuration Manager to develop, implement, and maintain configuration management (CM) processes for Open Data Store (ODS) services as documented in the Configuration Management Plan. The Configuration Manager develops and maintains CM processes consistent with the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agencies' Configuration Management Plan (NCMP) and industry best practices. The Configuration Manager establishes, maintains, and executes processes and procedures to identify, manage, and control change for all ODS Configuration Items (CIs).

The Configuration Manager obtains or verifies that all applicable software is approved via the NGA Software Whitelist Approval Process (i.e. SWAP) and is documented in the Version Description Diagram (VDD) for each software release.

Duties/Tasks and Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the build and release of GEODS software.
  • Responsibilities include version control to track revisions made to the source code of programs, and may include use a GIT system to track such changes.
  • Responsible for the Configuration Management process and the Configuration Management Database (CMDB).
  • Maintain all configuration items in the CMDB including information about configuration items required to deliver GEODS services, including their relationships.
Qualifications:
  • Master's degree plus 4 years' experience, Bachelor's degree plus 6 years' experience, Associates degree plus 12 years' experience, or a minimum of 15 years' experience, in relevant field
  • Experience with configuration management tools.
  • Experience managing complex software configuration projects.
Strong analytical skills.
