Electronic (Maintenance) Technician - 2nd Shift - Lexington, SCKey ResponsibilitiesTroubleshoot and provide recommendations to address mechanical and electrical equipment failures by performing diagnostic testing to determine the root causePerform routine and complex repair of equipment or systems through the isolation of the malfunction or failure, disassembly of equipment and inspection of componentsUse prior knowledge, machine manuals, blueprints, schematics, technical documents and other resources to determine an appropriate plan of action for repairing machine or equipmentOperate equipment and machinery that is being replaced or repaired to ensure proper operation or to further troubleshoot the issue at hand before returning to productionPerform preventative maintenance on equipment and machines as scheduled in SAP TPM system, or specified in the equipment's manualFollow established Safety practices and proceduresOther duties, as assigned Critical Skills & QualificationsHigh School diploma or GED equivalent is requiredAssociates degree in Industrial Electricity/Electronics or discipline is preferred2+ years of related work experience in a manufacturing environment3+ years of experience troubleshooting and repairing CNC equipmentKnowledge of mechanical tools and equipment associated with the repair and maintenance of Company equipment, to include bearings, ball screws, hydraulic and pneumatic pumpsKnowledge of electrical maintenance to include the transforming and/or stepdown of electrical voltage, from 480v to control voltage, as well as servo motors, encoders and controlsMust take and follow direction from others with little to no supervisionAbility to effectively problem-solve through a systematic approachAbility to work in a team setting and environmentAbility to use power and hand toolsAbility to lift, push or pull up to and including 40 lbs.At Apex Tool Group (, we build innovation.
