General Description:EDPR is leading the energy transition, targeting to have 100% renewable energy generation by 2030. By 2025, we aspire to add 4GW/year of renewable capacity, doubling our current footprint in both solar and wind. The NA Solar PV Supply Chain Director is a senior leadership role within EDPR's Global Supply Chain Division, reporting directly to the Global Solar PV Supply Chain Director.The role will help EDPR senior leadership to make strategic decisions by providing supply market, product, competitor, and customer insights, and helping enable growth, profitability, and operational excellence. You will develop, propose, and execute category strategy providing superior intelligence on PV modules market and supply chain.The role will also help develop mutually beneficial long-term partnerships with suppliers and ensuring excellence in project execution.Main Accountabilities:Develops and responsible for the North America solar supply chain strategies aligned with Global Strategies.Builds and maintains profiles of supply market and key suppliers and contractors (both current and potential suppliers and contractors).Lead all negotiations regarding any new or existing Solar Supply Agreements playing a pivotal role and involving as required other EDPR areas such as: Legal, Finance, Energy Assessment, Technology, Risk, ESG, etc.Responsible for implement strategies and procedures that tackle challenges related with Inflation Reduction Act, anti-dumping or countervailing, China-US trade wars, forced labor concerns in the product supply.Recommends and manages the implementation of appropriate changes in procurement governance and policies.Leads NA RFx and establish cross functional teams to develop and execute cross company sourcing strategies.Accountable for the development and management of the solar cross-functional sourcing teams.Budgetary responsibility for spend and costPromotes Communications (website, intranet, brochures, supplier events, etc.) in coordination with EDPRIn coordination with NA HR Departments and NA CEO, develops sourcing skills and capabilities throughout the procurement organizations.People: Manages 5+ employeesRequired Academic Skills:Degree in Management, Economics, Engineering, Law or other proven relevant for the role; MBA / post graduate education will be a plusRequired Professional Experience:Knowledge in Renewable Procurement specifically solar preferred.8+ years of supply chain/procurement preferred.3+ years' experience in a director or similar leadership position involving management of teams in an environment of decision-making culture and complex reporting structure.Skills/Competencies:Very strong work-ethic, communication skills and innovative thinking with a focus on challenging and improving the status-quoHas a "winning" and "diplomatic" personality and a wide vision in problem solving.
