Description

Capital Health System (CHS) and Temple University Hospital (TUH) have entered into an affiliation for liver transplant and advanced surgical services that will streamline coordination of care and minimize the amount of travel required by patients in the community served by Capital Health. Under the terms of the affiliation, Capital Health patients who are approved candidates will receive liver transplants at Temple but will receive pre- and post-transplant care and related diagnostic tests close to home at Capital Health Medical Center – Hopewell under the direction of both Capital Health and Temple physicians.

In this unique role, you will be jointly hired by Capital Health and Temple University Hospital. You will work four days/week at CH and one day/week at TUH.

The Hepatologist will be supported by TUH transplant coordinators and implement TUH protocols at CHS. Selected members of the two teams will be given clinical privileges to both institutions if requirements are met. A liver tumor board will be developed at CHS to implement the TUH HCC algorithm, and physicians will have an open invitation to participate in the other institution’s tumor board.

Requirements

Education, Training & Experience:

Board-certified or board-eligible in Hepatology

Eligible for licensure in New Jersey and Pennsylvania

3 or more years of experience outside of fellowship

Trained to do Endoscopy
