Compensation for this position is in the $52,000 to $59,000 range depending on qualifications and experience.
Summary:
To support the Compliance Department's Sr. Director and Supervisor in the ongoing compliance of health plan accreditation, Plan Performance Assessment (PPA), and the Quality Management Committee (QMC). Must be an analytical thinker with strong problem-solving skills. Meticulous attention to detail with the ability to multi-task. Ability to work under pressure to meet competing deadlines. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to identify ambiguity. Excellent documentation, communication, and IT/computer skills.
Duties and Responsibilities of a Compliance Coordinator - Accreditation
Duties & responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
Demonstrate an understanding of accreditation, PPA, and QMC's scope, authority, and Plan responsibility*.
Ensure Plan and delegated entity activities comply with accreditation and PPA standards and requirements in fulfillment of the Federal Employees Health Benefits (FEHB) contractual obligations.
Develop, enhance, archive, and/or oversee accreditation, PPA, and QMC documents*.
Coordinate and implement audits and validation of policies and processes to maintain accreditation readiness*.
Oversee QMC meeting logistics, reports, documents, communication, and activities*.
Create QMC meeting agendas, reports, documents, program descriptions, work plans, talking points, and minutes*.
Participate in delegated entity and vendor meetings in support of accreditation, PPA, and QMC*.
Prepare Board of Director PowerPoint slides and talking points for Sr. Director in support of QMC.
Coordinate the implementation and monitoring of quality improvement corrective action plans and requests for improvement*.
Execute projects as assigned by the Sr. Director and Supervisor of Compliance*.
Other duties as required to support the Compliance Department*.
This position is an essential employee position. During organizational closures, this position will be required to perform all the items above*.

The following are work locations that AFSPA utilizes: New Carrollton, Maryland Satellite Office; Washington, DC Headquarters; and hybrid remote. Work location will be assigned and/or changed based upon business need and at Management's sole discretion.
