Director, Data & Technology, Data Privacy

Ankura’s Data Privacy Practice offers a full-service suite of data privacy solutions for clients, regardless of industry or size. Our experts assess data privacy risk and readiness relative to existing and emerging privacy regulations and help organizations build and mature their privacy programs.
Role Overview:
Our Privacy practice is a rapidly growing part of the Data & Technology segment of our business. Our professionals help our clients address their data privacy challenges, including conducting privacy risk assessments, creating policies and procedures, building data inventories, reviewing and interpreting regulatory changes, developing consumer response processes, implementing technology and assisting organizations through privacy related regulatory investigations. We are seeking a Senior Associate level candidate, although this may be filled at a different level depending on candidate qualifications.
Responsibilities:

Lead the day-to-day activities of engagements including interaction with other team members, subject matter experts, and client contacts
-
Manage all facets of client engagements, including work stream supervision, client interaction, and billing
-
Create project status summaries and/or reports and metrics, written analyses or assessments, and other presentations of work performed
-
Create and review consistent and thorough documentation including policies and procedures to support privacy framework towards regulation compliance or readiness
-
Actively participate in internal and external team meetings including client assessments, presentations and status meetings
-
Manage time and tasks to meet internal and external deadlines
-
Actively contribute to the growth and development of junior team members through trainings , informal mentorship, recruiting efforts, and culture building

Maintain a professional image within the company and project the same to those outside of the company
Qualifications:
-
Bachelor’s Degree with a solid academic performance
-
7+ years of relevant industry-specific experience in data privacy or compliance
-
3+ years experience using and implementing OneTrust
-
Prior experience or interest in developing junior team members
-
Willingness and flexibility to travel as required
-
Consulting experience related to legal, compliance and/or data privacy
-
Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP) certification ( preferred)
-
Project management experience including understanding of project life cycles (PMP or other project management certifications)

Knowledge and experience developing and managing key privacy deliverables such as: Data inventory registers Privacy impact assessments Privacy training
