Position Overview
We are currently seeking a PGY1 Community-Based Pharmacy for our Inpatient Pharmacy Department located with NorthShore University HealthSystem. This is a 1-year full-time position and is benefits eligible. Residency activities and staffing will be scheduled on day shift, with rotation to second shift, weekends, and holidays.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will:

  • Complete residency goals and objectives as outlined by ASHP residency standards and residency program requirements.
  • Complete projects in clinical and non-clinical areas and contribute to the achievement of departmental objectives and development through the completion of special assignments and projects in clinical and non-clinical areas as assigned by the program director, manager or preceptor.
  • Verify and dispense medication orders, including checking work done by a technician prior to dispensing
  • Provide clinical pharmacy services, including patient medication reviews, patient education, drug information, attendance at medical emergencies, as appropriate for the residency program
  • Meet regularly to establish goals outlined in the self-evaluation process and work to achieve those goals
