Junior Procurement Analyst

Crane, IN (Onsite) Full-Time

MDW is seeking candidates to provide Procurement support to our US Navy client. The analyst must be capable of applying business process knowledge and judgment to support the various commands with the Department of Defense (DoD). This position is partially remote. Note that this position requires candidates be located within reasonable proximity to Crane, Indiana in order to support the NSWC customer with hybrid work schedules, on-site meetings and other in-person requirements.

The Procurement Analyst will support tasks such as assisting the government with establishing schedules and monitoring progress of procurement actions; research and analysis of procurement issues; assisting the government with data collection allowing for implementing regulatory and policy guidance; and interfacing with various organizations/customers. They will also provide daily program support. This includes providing detail-oriented management of records, business research analysis, and valuation strategies. The analyst will use Microsoft (MS) Office applications such as Access databases, Excel spreadsheets, PowerPoint and MS Word as well as report writing software to include Business Intelligence applications. They may also be involved in various administrative tasks.

As part of a team, the analyst will have the following responsibilities:

  • Planning, Tracking and Analysis of Acquisition Requirements
  • Purchase Requisition Input
  • Monitoring Performance
  • Tracking of Funds and Payment
  • Preparation and Review of Acquisition Requirements Documentation
  • Meeting Minutes
  • Document Handling
  • Contract Data Requirement List (CDRL) Reporting
  • Data Entry

Required Experience:

  • Demonstrated experience with preparing, understanding, and presenting data
  • Candidates should have strong computer, finance, and analytical skills
  • Excellent Communication Skills (Written and Verbal)
  • Experience using Excel and other MS Office products
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to multi-task; effectively manage time, and work under firm and quick turn-around deadlines

Education Requirement/Required Years of Experience:

  • 0-3 years professional experience in acquisition management support
  • BA/BS degree from an accredited institution required. 4+ years' experience in acquisition management support may be substituted in lieu of degree.

Clearance Requirement(s):

  • Candidates for this position must be able to obtain a US DoD Secret Clearance or higher (requires US Citizenship)
