DORN Companies, leading the country in wellness-based pain management and injury prevention is looking for an Independent Subcontractor to provide on-site services in support of employee wellness. Our primary goal is to help reduce pain and discomfort as well as risk of injury in the workplace.

Job Summary

DORN is seeking a seasoned licensed industrial PT to focus on providing deep tissue therapy, myofascial release and self-care techniques.  Our providers reduce pain and prevent injury through hands-on modalities, workstation observation, onsite correction of body mechanics and teaching integrative movement ergonomics.

This role will be a combination of delivering deep tissue therapy and utilizing the DORN technique to improve overall employee performance and wellness.

Job specific training will be provided by DORN.

Location: Howard City, MI (30 minutes from Grand Rapids)

Training:  2-3 day training session 

Start Date: ASAP

Hours: 4-5 hours a week

Salary: $50.00/hour

DORN offers a full suite of services that address employee’s pain and discomfort and helps to reduce the risk of injury. Our program aligns with the Total Worker Health concept and will include:

  • Deep tissue therapy, myofascial release and self-care techniques
  • Biomechanics
  • Workstation observation/ coaching and monitoring 
  • Participation in client safety meetings
  • New employee orientation – body mechanics training
  • Shift supervisor training in body mechanics
  • Pre-shift/post-lunch conditioning
  • Department training for specific issues

Qualifications and Skills

  • Licensed PT with minimum 3 years' experience in medical modalities and bodywork including deep tissue, myofascial release and corrective modalities in an industrial setting
  • Experience in ergonomics, proper body mechanics, ability to correct posture at workstations and teach selfcare
  • Desire and willingness to be trained on additional services including DORN proprietary ergonomics and biomechanics
  • Strong observation and report writing skills (SOAP notes/Post Session Notes)
  • Excellent communication skills with clients and management
  • Active Liability Insurance
  • Fully-vaccinated and boosted for Covid candidates required due to proximity of work

All successful candidates must pass a background check and drug screen and must adhere to company’s ethics policies.
