Our HR Business Partners (HR BPs) lead the delivery of all HR services to internal client groups to drive outstanding employee performance. HR BP's partner closely with business leaders to drive the BlackRock talent agenda which includes diversity, equity & inclusion agenda and critical talent decisions.
The ideal candidate has a passion for solving complex challenges for senior leaders and you will work on key global initiatives and projects in areas such as diversity/equity/inclusion, organisational design, employee relations, culture, engagement and leadership development. This is a great opportunity which requires deep HR Business Partner expertise and a proven track record in managing executive level client relationships in a fast paced, growth and matrix environment.
We'll trust you to:
Provide advice and guidance on performance management including: leadership development, accelerated development, succession planning, coaching talent reviews and terminations.
Advance the diversity, equity and inclusion efforts for the business.
Drive organisational change and influence leaders to address complex issues.
Partner with senior leadership and recruiting to develop hiring plans.
Partner effectively with the HR Business Partner team based in New York, Princeton, Asia and London.
Influence senior leadership on high-impact engagement activities on employee experience and inclusion initiatives.
Drive informed decision-making by using data.
Reinforce and evolve BlackRock's culture.
Collaborate and develop high-performing partnerships with the broader HR BP team, Recruiting, Legal, Talent, Finance and other internal key relationships.
Partner with the Employee Relations team, legal counsel, and other key stakeholders on the identification, escalation, risk mitigation and resolution of employee relations issues.
Take a leadership role in the application of the firm's reward philosophy and delivery of the annual compensation cycle.
You need to have:
Ideally approximately 10+ years of HR business partner experience with strong talent and inclusion experience, ideally working in a fast-paced, complex environment.
Ability to constructively challenge senior investors and leaders.
Demonstrated expertise and experience serving in a consultative capacity to senior business leaders, shaping organizational strategy, goals and alignment.
Experience working across the various HR disciplines including compensation, recruiting and talent management.
Ability to deliver pre-prepared presentations to large groups on a regular basis and comfortable hosting candid discussion groups.
Demonstrated experience building strong, effective and trusted relationships and networks.
Ability to execute firm-wide talent initiatives with excellence in a fast paced, global corporate environment, commitment to innovation and continuous improvement.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, ability to influence and articulate a variety of issues to different audiences, tailoring messages accordingly.
Ability to work effectively across multiple geographies and partners.
Commitment to innovation and continuous improvement.
Ability to use HR reporting & analytics in generating insights and presenting findings back to the
business, as well as tracking and disseminating key HR data.

For New York City only: The salary range for this position is $180,500 - $230,000. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including heath care, leave benefits, and retirement benefits.
