The Vice President of Sales Operations leads and directs sales operational processes and strategic planning, and manages sales functions essential to sales team productivity. These include planning, reporting, quota setting and management, sales process optimization, sales training, sales program implementation, sales compensation design and administration, and recruiting and selection of sales operations talent. This role is central in spearheading our architectural foundation and sales enablement activities to ensure our sales team's success.How you will contribute to TrueCar's success:
Design, implement, and manage sales forecasting, planning, and budgeting processes. Establish high levels of quality, accuracy, and process consistency in planning, forecasting, and budgeting approaches used by the sales organization. Ensure planning, forecasting and budgeting efforts are appropriately integrated with other strategies employed within Truecar. Provide leadership to the sales organization and counsel to the Head of Sales in implementing sales organization operational objectives that appropriately reflect the Company's business goals. Assign all sales organization objectives in a timely manner. Partner with senior sales leadership to identify opportunities for sales process improvement. Facilitate successful implementation of new programs through the sales organization by ensuring a well-defined, efficient sales process is in place for launch. Foster an organization of continuous process improvement. Maintain responsibility for the optimal deployment of sales personnel. Make recommendations for changing sales roles, coverage models and/or team configurations in order to maximize sales productivity. Guide a change management process to build organizational understanding of proposed changes, establish support from key leadership stakeholders, and effectively implement new deployment and job models. Work closely with senior sales leadership to define the optimal performance measurements and performance management programs required to ensure sales organization success. Align reporting, training, and incentive programs with these performance management priorities. Ensure sales reports and other internal insight is provided to the sales organization. Develop new reporting tools as needed. Coordinate with sales leadership and other stakeholders to direct efficient and accurate sales team reporting initiatives. * Work closely with sales leadership and Human Resources to establish a sales team training plan to develop and reinforce critical sales competencies. Prioritize training objectives for selling, sales management, and sales support roles. Oversee the delivery of field and HQ training.
