Software Engineer

What You Will Do:
Our Software Engineers are experienced professionals who provide software engineering expertise to our clients. They work directly with teammates and our National Security clients to execute the following job responsibilities:
Develop, maintain, and enhance complex and diverse software systems based upon documented requirements.
Works individually or as part of a team to reviews and test software components for adherence to the design requirements and document test results.
Resolve software problem reports.
Utilize software development and software design methodologies appropriate to the development environment and specific input to the software components of system design.
What You Will Need:
A CURRENT and ACIVE TOP SECRET/SCI clearance and COUNTERINTELLIGENCE (CI) polygraph; MUST upgrade polygraph to a FULL SCOPE (FS)
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline and FOURTEEN (14) years’ experience as a software engineer
FOUR (4) years' additional experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree
Demonstrated experience analyzing user requirements to derive software design and performance requirements
Demonstrated experience debugging existing software and correcting defects
Proven ability to provide recommendations for improving documentation and software development process standards
Demonstrated experience designing and coding new software or modify existing software to add new features
Demonstrated experience integrating existing software into new or modified systems or operating environments
Proven ability to develop simple data queries for existing or proposed databases or data repositories
Demonstrated experience writing or reviewing software and system documentation
Demonstrated experience serving as team lead within the software development process
Proven ability to design or implement complex database or data repository interfaces/queries, as well as algorithms to meet or exceed system performance and functional standards
Demonstrated experience assisting with developing and executing test procedures for software components
Experiencing developing software solutions by analyzing system performance standards, conferring with users or system engineers; as well as analyzing systems flow, data usage and work processes, and investigating problem areas
Demonstrated experience modifying existing software to correct errors, to adapt to new hardware, or to improve its performance
Proven ability to design, develop, and modify software systems, using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure outcome and consequences of design
Demonstrated experience designing or implementing complex algorithms requiring adherence to strict timing, system resource, or interface constraints, and performing quality control on team products
Demonstrated experience overseeing one or more software development teams
Proven ability to work with system engineers and hardware engineers to derive software requirements and to obtain information on project limitations and capabilities, performance requirements and interfaces
Demonstrated experience coordinating software system installation and monitoring equipment functioning
