Media Product Manager

The Channel Company Westborough, MA (On Site) Full-Time

Position Summary:

This entrepreneurial-spirited individual is looking to advance their media career in a fast-paced, engaging environment. In this role, you’ll be pivotal to driving the business through assisting with day-to-day operations and process improvement, collaborating cross company to manage and develop products we deliver, working with Sales and Customers to deliver a world class solutions and customer experience. Working shoulder-to-shoulder with top management in The Channel Company, you’ll put your personal imprint on our media solutions as you create and vet custom marketing program ideas and assess overall market opportunity.   • Research new technologies and products that can be used to develop new offerings or improve delivery.
  • Consistently demonstrates exemplary use of written and spoken English to assist on responding to client requests.
  • Occasionally, consult with the Sales Team to outline the product mix for their proposals that will achieve their client objectives.
  • Manage the full training calendar for the Marketing Architects/Media Sales support. Implement training, scheduling, and ongoing enablement.
  • Work directly with the mail house and internal marketing to ensure delivery of print products.
  • Manage and drive relationships with outside vendors to ensure timely delivery of their deliverables, including setting timelines and holding them accountable for misses
  • Evaluate and source additional partnerships as needed.
  • Communicate effectively your project statuses to internal and external stakeholders.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

  • Strong organizational skills are required to manage and prioritize projects simultaneously to adhere to critical timelines.
  • Strong Analytical Skills – possess the ability to understand traffic driving concepts, web technologies, website performance tracking and technology related issues in order to effectively guide teams through resolution and program improvement on a daily/weekly basis.
  • Ability to understand business marketing issues and how media is used to help clients overcome these issues.
  • Interest in learning new systems: web-based databases, web analytics tools, or other web-based CRM system.
  • Strong math skills; ability to calculate rates.
  • Customer-service oriented, friendly, and approachable whether in person or via email and phone.
  • Comfortability working cross-group along all teams in The Channel Company, including sales, marketing, edit and so much more.
  • Ability to work well in a team situation and focus on the greater good. Be cooperative and accountable.

Qualifications Needed for Successful Performance:

  • Minimum 4 year degree in Advertising, Marketing, or related field, or equivalent combination of BA degree
  • 10 years of proven experience in the media industry/ad agency.
  • Superior knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Must have solid grasp of advertising principles and familiarity with marketing platforms (print, email, ad banners, social media, webinars, video, etc.).
  • A true passion for marketing and advertising; ability to present ideas clearly and convincingly.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced work environment, readily adapting to continually changing priorities and aggressive project timeframes; ability to problem solve.
  • Ability to work efficiently and independently; great team-player mentality – consistently display world-class professionalism.
  • Strong time management; oral & written communication skills with an ability to articulate rational to other team members, stakeholders and internal clients; and strong interpersonal skills.
