Job Description

TOPS is looking for a Content Marketing Manager to join our team!

We are in a period of rapid growth and you have an opportunity to make an impact with an energetic and talented team. In this role, youll be helping us with content clarity and brand performance. This is our first content marketing hire and you will be well supported in this role. This is a pivotal role, doing strategic planning as well as content writing. As we get bigger, we can hire another person to help scale.

For the first 30 - 60 days, youll be figuring out our path, learning, repurposing older content and looking at its prior performance. Youll leverage benchmark reports and sit in on customer interviews to help translate information into content.

This full-time salaried role reports directly to our VP of Marketing and will work closely with a marketing team of five, including a Marketing Coordinator. Salary range is 95k-110k, dependent on experience.

Location preference is Knoxville, TN or Clearwater, FL. We are open to a fully remote arrangement for the right candidate.

You should have
  • Required: 3+ years experience in content marketing (must include long-form copywriting)
  • Preferred: Experience creating B2B focused content at a SaaS company
  • Project management skills and understanding how to manage the priorities of multiple stakeholders in a complex environment and focus on the delivery of results in the form of traffic, leads and sales
  • Editorial mindset that seeks to understand what audiences consume and how to create it
  • Established expertise with content marketing strategy and channels including, but not limited to, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and YouTube. Youll help us choose the path to reach out customers and will need to have courage to try new things
  • Ability to develop, update and maintain process and training documentation
  • Excellent grammar, punctuation, and spelling skills
  • Clear, effective communicatorverbally and in writingwith the ability to be persuasive
  • Results-oriented; proven ability to prioritize, drive and achieve results through self and others under time pressure
  • Ability to analyze and present content and social performance
