Position: Project Engineer
Location: Orlando, FL
Utility Distribution Engineer, with focus in road projects (RGB's) Working knowledge of all, but not limited to, the following: o OUC Construction Standards Manuals (Overhead and Underground); o OUC Electric Service and Digital Meter Installation Manual; o NEC/NESC books; o OUC Engineering Manual;
Letter of Responsibility – Unique specification package provided to customers; o Permits by local governing agencies;
Process to obtain a meter installation; o Construction crew scheduling; o Limitations of construction crews abilities with regard to equipment/Client; ? Familiarity with all, but not limited to, the following: o Civil, AutoCAD, and Technical Drawings; o Riser Diagrams; o GIS Maps; o Invoices; o Estimate reports; o Equipment (i.e. iPhone, Measuring wheel, company radio, hammer, wood stakes, spray paint);
Software Application (i.e. PSERM, CC&B, AutoCAD, ePets, Arc-Reader, ARM360); o Related industry, organizational and departmental policies, practices, and procedures; legal guidelines, ordinances, and laws; ? Able to calculate amperage on both sides of meter for wiring/xfmr sizing, voltage drop, and fault current.
Understand and apply governmental accounting practices in maintenance of financial records; ? Ability to make arithmetic computations using whole numbers, fractions and decimals, and compute rates, ratios, and percentages. Ability to use Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.) and standard office equipment (telephone, computer, copier, etc.).
Working Conditions: This job may be exposed to outdoor weather conditions and risk of electrical shock, work in confined places, and insects.
Physical Requirements: This job requires standing, walking, sitting, bending/stooping, repetitive motions, reaching over head, climbing (i.e. stairs, hills, ladders, etc.), and may lift up to twenty (20) pounds.
This job requires speaking and hearing, typing, writing, detailed inspection, and may drive a company vehicle.
