This position performs a wide variety of tasks in the areas of recruitment, employee communication, compensation, benefits, performance management and operations.--Recruitment

  • Leads sourcing and recruiting initiatives and processes.--
  • Serves on hiring committees and supports managers with phone interviews of applicants.
  • Develops, streamlines, and enhances staffing systems, tracking reporting and analysis.
  • Provides benefits and employee experience materials to applicants.
  • Prepares offer letters for new hires and promotions.
  • Works with Employee Experience Coordinator to ensure quality applicant experience and onboarding transition.-- Employee Communication
    • Responds to written employee inquires.
    • Interacts with employees through Office hours to answer questions.
    • Provides operation procedures, policy guidance and interpretation to employees.
    • Provides advice and counsel to managers regarding operational procedures, policy, and employment laws. Compensation and Benefits
      • Acts as a liaison with employees and insurance vendors.
      • Updates the completion of compensation and benefit documentation.--
      • Communicates verbally and in writing with vendors as needed.
      • Prepares setup of systems and communication to support benefits enrollment.
      • Manages annual total compensation statement project from design, data collection and preparation for mailing.
      • Prepares data for annual compensation analysis and budget review process.-- Performance Management
        • Prepares and executes 90 day and six-month check-in for new and newly promoted employees.
        • Coordinates annual performance management calendar and notifications.
        • Monitors and support successful completion of annual review process for all employees.--
        • Supports annual SMART goals setup and completion process.
        • Supports managers in coaching employee's performance and goal attainment throughout the year.-- Daily Operations
          • Provides day to day management of process, systems, and filing.--
          • Compiles, organizes, and submits basic data reports relating to people operations.--
          • Maintains Director dashboard for quarterly people data related to their department.
          • Develops and maintains a human resource information system that meets the organization's personnel information needs.--
          • Processes changes for bi-weekly payroll.
          • Updates shared resources and forms for employee use.
          • Administers background checks and forms signature for employees and volunteers.
          • Responds to employment verifications.
          • Processes employee leave of absences.
          • Produces reports and creates presentations using multimedia and database systems, including but not limited to Microsoft Applications (Teams, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.), Paylocity, Google Slides, Canva, and more.--
          • Directs and coordinates preparation of position descriptions, ensures FLSA classification compliance and maintains library.
          • Administers unemployment insurance processes, reviews liability reports, monitors program costs and recommends policy changes.
          • Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance.--
          • Acts as backup to Employee Engagement Coordinator and Senior Director.
          • Supports the Senior Director in a variety of projects as requested.
          • Other duties as assigned RequirementsEducation and Experience--
            • Bachelor's Degree or HR Certification, and 5+ years, direct hands-on experience in a role related to human resources, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.--
            • Excellent time management skills with ability to prioritize work and work independently.
            • A team player who is proactive in action and communication, flexible, results-oriented, and comfortable in a rapidly changing environment.
            • Proficient with Microsoft office suite, especially Outlook, Excel, Teams, and other related software.
            • Expert in Paylocity or similar Human Resources Information System.
            • Consistent strong organization, writing and communication skills.
            • Understanding that the nature of this work requires the ability to use discretion and maintain strong confidentiality.
            • Ability to learn new tools quickly.
            • Excellent interpersonal communication, customer service and a sense of humor.
            • Strong desire to positively contribute to the DSF work culture and actively serve alongside other committed/mission driven professionals.--

              • $67,000 to $85,000
