Senior Director of Software Engineering job in Framingham at Iconstaff

Lead a world-class software development team, delivering innovative experiences in the consumer products family. Use your expertise in full stack development, embedded software development, and mobile software-specific developments to lead teams of engineers delivering products as per roadmap (on-time/on-budget). Responsibilities:

Lead full stack and embedded software teams for all consumer product delivery as per product roadmap.

Build SW capabilities and work with a team of world-class software engineers

Build and develop our high-performing engineering team, full stack software capability, and a consumer Software operating model to deliver multiple products per year

Partner with product management, hardware, architecture, and quality teams to define product priorities, refine processes, and deliver the maximum value for our customers

Be a change agent, driven to continuously improve our ability to deliver world-class experiences for customers

Qualifications:

10+ years leading large SW development teams of 100+ engineers and SW programs

10+ years of hands-on SW development and past coding experience

Hands-on embedded engineering

Experienced leading teams developing software for the consumer electronics space

Ability to spot-check SW and code walk-throughs across SW teams is expected

Experience managing and developing teams globally across multiple regions

Experience tightly managing software resources meeting schedules and delivery milestones with predictability

Experience developing software on embedded platforms over Qualcomm, STMicro, NXP, or other similar chipsets

Experienced in developing software that works within complex ecosystems including but not limited to Android and iOS

Experience delivering programs with a mix of fixed and flex resources globally

Experience recruiting and growing SW talent at all levels of the organization

Track record of driving improvement cross-functionally with hardware, UX, and Product management teams
