THE JOB
This is a FPGA Engineer FPGA Engineer your roles and responsibilities will include:
- Develop FPGA architecture/protocol/firmware to exchange control/data between ARM and FPGA.
- Understand signal processing requirements and ensure delivered solution fully meets requirements.
- Utilize and/or modify existing code bases and libraries; create and shape new functionality.
- Write test plan to demonstrate the device meets requirements in field testing.
DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Most importantly, you need to be a passionate FPGA Engineer FPGA Engineer would be someone with deep experience in many (if not all) of the following:
- Minimum education is a Bachelor s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields.
- At least 3-to-5 years of FPGA development experience and demonstrated success in delivering developed solutions.
- FPGA RTL and verification, embedded real-time software/firmware, board bring-up and board support packages, digital signal processing.
- Write clean, efficient, well-documented code.
- Strong written and communication skills.
- Platforms: Xilinx FPGA/SoC, and Micro-Semi SmartFusion.
- Hardware Description Languages: VHDL, Verilog, HLS.
- Development Tools: Xilinx Vivado, Xilinx SDx, ModelSim, Matlab
- 10+ years of FPGA development experience and demonstrated success in delivering developed solutions.
- A Master s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields.
- An active (or active within the last 2 years) Secret or higher level of DoD security clearance is a PLUS.
- Familiar with DOD-AIMS signal processing algorithms.
- Inter-system communication over TCP/UDP, Serial Interface.
- Familiarity with encryption, decryption, and secure applications.
- Integration with common external interfaces such as I2C, SPI, UART.
- Experience using test equipment such as Logic Analyzers, Oscilloscopes, and Power measurement.
- Debugging prototype FPGA hardware using software design tools and lab instruments.
- Authoring system requirements, design documents, and technical reports.
- Development tools: GCC Toolset, Yocto, Intel/Altera Quartus.
