IT Consulting Firm SeekingInside Sales Specialist for Expanding Team

We need an Inside Sales Specialist who wants to take charge as a member of a proactive I.T. services company.

The Dirks Group is located in Wausau, Wisconsin. Our company successfully serves over 400 customers from our offices in Wausau (HQ) and Eau Claire. We like people that have an outgoing, fun personality with a genuine interest in The Dirks Group's mission. We want positive people that have a desire to grow personally & professionally by working with and strengthening our team.


The Inside Sales Specialist will work directly with outside sales and other members of the team to support existing and new customers.


  • Prepare hardware and software quotes
  • Determine customer requirements and expectations in order to recommend specific products and solutions
  • Research products, promotions, and pricing to best meet customers needs
  • Educate customers about terminology, features and benefits of products in order to improve product related sales and customer satisfaction
  • Proactively recommend items needed by customers to increase customer satisfaction
  • Prepare new and renewal software license quotes for customers
  • Follow up on quotes sent to customers
  • Verify software capabilities, upgrades, and tech support with 3rd party vendors
  • Communicate with dispatch on hardware and software installs
  • Perform other duties as assigned


We are looking for:

  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Superior knowledge of accessing and using the Internet for research and MS Office tools such as Word, Excel, and Outlook: knowledge of quoting software or customer management software, computer systems, communication tools and software preferred
  • Ability to research and become familiar with current and customized product solutions
  • Ability to sense and relate observations to business opportunity
  • Effective listening, verbal and written communication, negotiation, and phone skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrate high level of integrity and ethical standards
  • Problem-solving and analytical ability
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Comfortable in fast-paced environment
  • Ability to manage time effectively and adapt quickly to changing priorities
  • Capable of following written instructions and document procedure
  • Superior organization skills
