The U.S. Fertility Medical Science Liaison (MSL) reports into the U.S. Field Team Lead (Executive Director) and is responsible for engaging in both scientific exchange and research support, when requested, with external scientific leaders, investigators, and key decision makers in the medical and scientific community.
THIS ROLE CAN BE 100% REMOTELY BASED.
Primary Responsibilities:
Identify, establish and manage collaborative professional relationships with scientific leaders (SLs), investigators, and key decision makers (KDMs) to identify and address scientific needs and to ensure access to medical and scientific information on areas of therapeutic interest and Organon data or products.

Conduct peer-level scientific discussions and maintain a reliable presence to ensure external stakeholders have a Medical Affairs contact within our Company.

Serve as an expert relative to our product and scientific data and answer unsolicited medical information requests from external stakeholders.

Facilitate appropriate scientific exchange of information with SLs, including integration of scientific knowledge with actionable insights to inform our Company's Medical Affairs and Outcomes Research (MAOR) strategy.

Communicate external stakeholder opinions, insights and feedback on new data, clinical trends and the evolving therapeutic area landscape to Medical Affairs headquarter teams to enhance scientific understanding and inform internal MAOR strategies.

Represent MAOR at scientific meetings and congresses and contribute to debriefs, insight discussions and post-congress reports.

Develop and execute territory plans in alignment with global therapeutic area strategy.

Support data generation activities when requested by leadership, including the Organon Investigator Study Program, by acting as the primary liaison to investigators interested in developing and performing investigator-initiated research.

When requested by MAOR leadership, identify potential investigators for participation in phase II-IV clinical development programs and provide scientific support for our Company's ongoing studies, as needed.

Demonstrate and maintain in-depth knowledge of the assigned disease and therapeutic area(s) through educational efforts, including attendance at relevant conferences, scientific workshops and review of key journals.

Fully comply with all company policies and applicable laws, regulations, and ethical standards.

Education Minimum Requirements:
MD, PhD, Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP), Advanced Practice Nursing degree, PharmD that is relevant to the fertility area and requirements of the position.

Nurse Practitioners (ARNP) with Fertility experience


Required Experience and Skills:
3+ years prior experience in the biopharmaceutical industry or healthcare environment, with special emphasis on prior experience in women's health and fertility.

3+ years of clinical and/or research experience (beyond that obtained in the terminal degree program) in a relevant disease area(s) and demonstrated scientific excellence in Women's Health/Fertility. As an alternative, if clinical/research requirement is not met, > 5 years of MSL experience in a relevant therapeutic area and / or demonstration of scientific excellence in that therapeutic area may be considered.

Experience in organized healthcare system allowing ability to develop peer-to-peer relationships with key decision makers.

Ability to network and partner with important external customers, including scientific leaders, investigators, clinical practice leaders, key decision makers, and academic affiliated institutions, including treatment guideline members.

Excellent interpersonal, communication, networking, and presentation skills.

Deep therapeutic competency, staying abreast of trends and new information in women's health/ fertility therapeutic/translational science area.

Knowledge of national and society fertility treatment guidelines, clinical research processes, ethical guidelines, laws, and regulations relevant to the biopharmaceutical industry and its external stakeholder environment.

Must be able to organize, prioritize, and work effectively in a constantly changing environment.

Ability to consolidate and understand complex data sets, plan and/or execute data analyses, summarize or synthesize data and objectively interpret results.

Ability to travel up to 70% of the time including overnights and reside in the indicated territory.

Preferred Experience and Skills
5+ years of prior biopharmaceutical industry experience (MSL or other clinical, medical or research related position) in fertility.

Scientific excellence in fertility as demonstrated by relevant experience in clinical practice and independent research and publication.

Prior working experience within the given geography and established relationships with relevant therapeutic area stakeholders.

Demonstrable effective leadership skills (by example and through accomplishments), and the ability to step forward to handle challenges within scope of authority.

Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
