The Role:
We seek an enthusiastic, results-driven candidate to serve as a Director of Product Management within the Workplace Managed Accounts team. In this role, you will work with business stakeholders, creative and engineering partners to create compelling, effective, and innovative online experiences for Retirement Manager and other Managed Accounts products. In addition to attracting resources and managing a cross functional team you will also help complete the discovery, analysis, and documentation of requirements for our managed accounts products. You will be responsible for creating and executing against the short- and long- term product roadmaps. The ability to manage people, communicate clearly with all levels and form strong relationships with stakeholders is critical in this role.
Job Responsibilities:
Lead a cross functional team of technologists, designers and product managers through the ideation, development and launch of innovative new products in our Managed Accounts space
Conduct market research and work backwards from customer needs to define our go forward product vision/stratgy
Understand Morningstar's competitive advantages and strengths in the industry and build best in class products that take advantage of these strengths
Manage, mentor and attract a talented and diverse, equitable and inclusive team
Set and analyze metrics and define OKRs to ensure that establish goals are being communicated and achieved
Define go-to-market strategy
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and drive product roadmaps
Identify areas for improvement new business opportunities and execute on these opportunities
Coordinate with our innovation team to experiment, build and test new ideas
Define product management structure and strategy to ensure that we are able to scale best practices across our organization
Work closely with our project and program management team to effectively prioritize resources and product initiatives
Rapidly prototype minimum viable products with a goal of conducting user testing and receiving rapid feedback
Develop business cases, write 6-pager style documents and press releases to justify investments in new areas of our business
Qualifications:
8+ years experience in Product Management
Experience hiring, managing, mentoring and developing people
Confident self-starter with analytical and strategic capabilities, plus a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and creatively
Strong understanding of the balance between data-driven and design thinking
Excellent written and communication skills
Experience presenting to senior audiences
Experience working within an Agile development process
Nice to have:
Experience with the US Defined Contribution, Managed Accounts and 401k market
