Job Title: Business Analyst - Claims (Guidewire) Production Support
Job Function: Consultant
Job Type: Contract (40 hours per week), Initial duration of 6 months with high likelihood of further extension.
Location: Client's office location in Conshohocken, PA (near Philadelphia).

The client's commercial property, casualty and specialty insurance and reinsurance business outside of Japan has been unified under our client's Commercial P&C platform. The RCM client's retail platform, outside of Japan, continues to grow as a part of their on-going transformation begun in 2020 and where we support our client's expansion and other business needs.

Scope of Job:

The client is seeking an experienced Business Analyst to augment their current Guidewire ClaimCenter (GWCC) Application Support Team who will be responsible for ongoing analysis, support, and management of our clients GWCC global implementation.

Primary Role Responsibilities:
  • Work with business to understand business requirements. Create functional specifications as needed for new functionality.
  • Design solutions that maximize the out of the box features of the product and minimize customizations.
  • Completely document and provide end to end data flows for the GWCC and multiple integrations per the specifications
  • Develop detailed requirements specification for Guidewire ClaimCenter
  • Test configuration changes and assist QA team in test planning and troubleshooting
  • Estimate the level of effort/cost of new application functionality
  • Provide analysis, troubleshooting and resolution on production issues related to applications and its integration points
  • Coordinate support activities with business stakeholders and IT resources
  • Enforce compliance with change control procedures for on-going production changes and projects

Required Technical Qualifications (in order of level of need) to include the following:
  • 5+ years hands on experience with developing detailed business and technical requirements for Guidewire ClaimCenter is required
  • 3+ years of experience supporting Guidewire ClaimCenter and related integrations.
  • data architecture experience would be a big plus
  • Master experience with excel and managing data
  • Experience with SQL development preferred. Must be able to read and understand SQL code and develop complex queries.

Other General Qualifications:
  • Proven track record of creating clear, concise deliverables that reflect a deep understanding of business needs and the out of the box software functionality.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Experience operating and interfacing with business management, including negotiation and presentation skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Understands communication channels and escalates appropriately.
  • Strong initiative; able to self-manage. Comfortable with ambiguity and able to work through it to get the right things done.
  • Experience using standard project and business tools including Microsoft Project, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint.
  • Team player who works well with technical and business resources.

Education & Certifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
