Senior Chemical Process Engineer

This Senior Chemical Process Engineer will interface directly with our Clients and provide ongoing project support. They will also be responsible for performing a variety of routine engineering assignments on major projects or total engineering work on projects of smaller scope, within the High Tech industry.

  • Makes decisions independently on engineering problems, practices, and methods and may create and refine unique design solutions. In the case of a licensed staff member, acting as a lead project engineer, this includes but is not limited to, the stamping/sealing of one's drawings/documents as well as drawings/documents done as the professional in "responsible charge" as defined by the applicable statute of jurisdiction. 
  • May plan and develop engineering projects concerned with unique or controversial problems, offering highly specialized knowledge and skills in a particular branch of engineering.
  • Acts as a mentor, coach, tutor and resource for less experienced staff.
  • May supervise, coordinate, and review the work of a team of engineers and designers working on the same assigned project.
  • Represents the firm in meetings and conferences to resolve important questions and to plan and coordinate a project.
  • Supervision and guidance related largely to overall objectives, critical issues, new concepts, policy matters, and/or unusual problems and developments.
  • Maintains continuing professional education as detailed in registered states' voluntary or mandatory requirements.
  • Travel may be required.
  • Bachelor Degree from ABET accredited school in Engineering, with 10+ years of industry experience.
  • Professional Engineering license in current state required.
  • Knowledge of chemical process systems control philosophy including P&ID development.
  • Experience with AutoCAD and Revit preferred. In-depth knowledge of fluid transfer, heat exchange, friction loss in piping systems, including design and operation.
  • Previous experience with design of experiments and authoring of technical reports.
  • Previous experience running computer-based simulations.
